Hi to all my readers and yes, it’s been a while since I have written and posted a blog but I just went through a huge transitioned and moved and I’ve been trying to get my house unpacked all decorated and just the way I like it. Our home is our haven and it should be completely comfortable and we should love to be in our homes. All of this is many more blog posts and there will be many more blogs to come in the future because I love my new home and everything about it. Moving on I want to tell you why I’m writing this blog and I’m so excited about it!
There is a blog I read by Harper Grae and I just love her blog! She blogs about book hauls, unboxing, TBR list, what she plans to read. I am an avid reader and I just love and enjoy her blog. Were bookworms together!
She suggested that we do Every Day In May and write a blog post every day and as you can see it’s May 11th and I failed some and I own it but, here I am and for me, it is about accountability and I thought it was a great idea! I think all writers and bloggers at times need a push or a nudge to write and what better way. At times I know that I’ll have trouble with thoughts and what to write. I keep a clipboard and ink pen always on my night stand. It may seem weird to others but thoughts come to me and night and I’ll grab my pen and clipboard and begin writing away.
I love technology but I still today am in love with putting pen to paper. I probably own more ink pens than anyone I know in this area. Usually, if the pen doesn’t glide across the page, let’s just say a pen has to write a certain way.
I went on and on enough about writing, ink pens, blogging, planning for it and all that goes along with all we write and do on our blogs! I love the blogging community! Were all so kind and willing to lend a hand or give advice or just be a great friend and I hope you’ll join along for Every Day In May and we can learn about each other and see what’s going and what we are involved in or what’s coming up in May!
I didn’t intend for this blog to be short or it seems short but, I did have to do some maintenance when I logged on. We as bloggers always want things to be better and there is always a reason to smile! Have a great weekend…
Next blog post: I’ll be telling you all about my new home and I’ll have photos to and I hope you will visit again…
I’ll search on Christian websites like L £ H Book Blogging and search through there website because I’m always reading some type of material when I’m not writing here on my blog or being domestic and I had seen where you could apply to be a L £ H Book Blogger and I applied and I had to eagerly continue to check my email because I would receive Christian books for free in the mail and as I read them I write a review and a blog post and select my next title and continue to be the bookworm that I am.
What a deal!
It said I would hear from the site within a week but it was only a couple of days and I was approved and I received my first title in just a couple of days and this is the book I’m currently reading.
I will be writing my review and blog when I’ve finished the book which I’m really enjoying and I will be reading more of Kayla Aimee’s titles and books for sure. She has a titled called Anchored I would love to add to my TBR list.
To Be Read…
That’s all I’m going to blog for now about this book. No spoiler alerts here but, it really is a wonderfully written book and I love how she’s so honest about all circumstances in her life. This book is about how every woman wants to identify, replace and uncover our purpose and that’s all I will blog but, I will definitely be a book blogger for as long as Lifeway will allow me to be a part of this.
You just wouldn’t believe how happy and excited I am about this. My books are like family to me if that makes sense and I cherish all on my bookshelf. Until next time that’s all for now about this title. There will be much more to come here on my blog about most certainly about this book! What a great author Kayla Aimee.
I’m currently on page 109 and I’m enjoying the process…
Welcome to my blog “My Journey as a Housewife! I’ve thought about this long and hard as I decided after all these years I may as well write and blog about what I do best and who I am which is a stay at home housewife.
I’m Vicky and thanks for visiting and welcome! So happy your here!
My husband and I married when I was the age of 47, in which I have been a stay at-home housewife the entire duration of our marriage of 6 years. It’s such a true blessing to be able to stay home and be a stay at home housewife.
I love and enjoy it. My husband works a minimum wage job and we managed to purchase our first home last year with 3 acres of land, another out building, and a workshop for my husband.
I love to write and this is my haven, where I write about all things within my life along with “my journey as a housewife” here where I am able to do a daily brain dump and write and blog about all I love and enjoy doing and pursuing future goals, hopes and dreams.
If this is ever something you hope and dream of doing you can and be almost as perfectly happy as I doing it. Only God is perfect right? I hope you’ll decide to sit and have a coffee, latter or tea for all I have to blog about! Coffee with cream for me!
We all know exactly what I’m talking about when I combine my passions with what I also love to do which is cook, I’ll blog about my grocery hauls with ways to save, be organized and this is an area of life I have to be organized to live successfully as my husband and I do. I have a passion for experimenting with different recipes, making fresh bread while my family gets to enjoy enjoy the goodness of delicious food. I love to read many, many, books along with a hot cup of coffee strong or any type of book that is beneficial to my life!
I’m going through some changes which is deciding to blog about my “journey as a stay at home housewife . I’m excited about my whole new blog because it’s really or has turned into such over the years.
My hope is that you will enjoy all I write and blog about here and learn new things daily as I do. Oh! That’s just one more thing I love! I love to learn all about all areas in our lives!
I have always been interested in photography and I enjoy it as a hobby and love to take photos. I’m in the process of educating myself more on this area. I want to know everything there is to know about photography, videos, editing, yet I still have to tell myself “it takes time” because in this area there is so much to know and educate yourself about and within. I also have a U-tube channel” my Journey as a housewife” and believe me when I say “I’m winging it. “
Thanks for being here and this is a whole new blog I’m starting. My last blog was beehumblewithme.com and I decided to change it to this title” to add a little more excitement and as well as personality to my blog! Why not right? Being a housewife has become a passion of mine as I stated on a warm spring day like today.
I write and blog about all I do here in my home because I am a stay at home housewife which I love and enjoy being blessed and thankful to my Savior Jesus Christ for this once in a lifetime opportunity to be the best wife and housewife I can possibly be.
I enjoy and love having a cleaned and organized home. This is my cleaning closet. I tell my husband “there is a place for everything”.
I am a bookworm and I always have a book 2 or 3 books open somewhere in my home that I am reading so I enjoy being able to write and blog about all the fantastic books I read and you will have a chance to read about them to right here with me. I enjoy reading blogs about books other bloggers read when I’m in search of a new title to select and read.
You can now order Katie Bennett’s book, Heavenly Minded Mom and it’s a 90 Day devotion about living each day with an eternal perspective. It’s an interesting read. It was great! I was in her book launch team and let’s just say I couldn’t put it down or stop reading it! One of my favorite books I’ll be referring back to for a very long time!
My husband and I live on 3 acres of land with Stubs our dog, ourrooster his name is Brave and our chickens. We live in a beautiful cul-de-sac in the country and it’s quite the comfy and lovely place here in our mobile home.

I enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes, baking fresh baked bread, oopsI think I already said that but the best part is when my husband and I sit down to eat one of my my many tasty meals because I just love to cook. Its just my husband and I because all of our children have left the nest and are out on there own.
I enjoy simple crafting from time to time, decorating in my home because we just purchased our home and land a little over a year ago and one day I’ll have it looking just the way I hope for it to be which is a home filled with lots of love and lots of tlc. My husband enjoys building projects and making things in his spare time when he can and has the time. I support him entirely in this area!
I’m so thankful were all moving toward the different seasons in our lives as we discover new chapters in our lives and see what God has in-store for us all. I read a devotion and scripture in the morning and I will blog about my journe with Jesus Christ my Savior from time to time to. It’s such a blessing that he died on the cross to save us from our sins and I make sure to thank and praise him daily.
I just have to share with you how grateful I am for our wonderful church family at Whitley City Church of God! We are truly blessed to be members of our church and we have such a loving church family.
I enjoy gardening, fresh flowers and growing fresh herbs to, for the food I cook here of course. Seldom do we ever dine out and were always working on eating healthier to.
Gardening is always delightful!
I also hope to start doing Yoga one of my goals, because it’s an exercise I think I would enjoy!
I love, love, love all things old, vintage or antique and being able to decorate my home in this way. I have an older style sewing machine that hopefully I’ll put to good use soon. It makes a beautiful piece of furniture to.
I hope it is!
